Between 1808 and 1865, more enslaved men, women, and children were bought and sold in New Orleans than in any other hamlet, town, or city in the United States. The New Orleans Slave Trade Marker Tour takes you on a walking tour of sites connected to the slave trade and explores the stories of individuals and families whose lives were shattered by slavery.
